I decided to pull the engine and transmission as one to put a new converter in the car and a new cam in the engine. I took the block to a machine shop that builds race engines and had him line hone the block, surface the deck, turn the crank, and give it a light hone. I still have to put the heads and intake back on it. It is making a little over 400hp at the engine, and 325hp at the rear wheels.

The second picture shows the new 2 piece timing cover. I put it on so that if I decide to change the cam again I can do it in the car and not have leaks.

The pictures below are from a few years ago when we first put the car together. I had a partner in the car back then and we both worked very hard to get the car to where it is today. I am doing it all on my own now, with help from my wife and kids.
The engine is just about ready to put in the car, it is going to be mounted on Moroso solid mounts. It is going to use a Holley 650cfm double pumper to get the fuel in. The intake is a Weiand Team G. It will have Hooker Competition Headers.
The Transmission is at the shop being totally rebuilt with a full manual valve body and a 3500 rpm stall converter for this year.
We should have all the parts for the 9" this week. All that is left to get the car down the track this season is to finish putting all the parts together.
